My name is Jacob Terry and I am a Senior at Republic High School. For my senior project, I am going to do the effects of large amounts of caffeine on job performance and concentration skills. I had no idea what I was going to do when Miss. Bechard told us to start brainstorming topics and ideas. I am fascinated by almost anything and everything that has to do with health and nutrition. Having a healthy body gives you many advantages in life, but there are also a lot of things to avoid and to keep out. Caffeine was always been a big debate, while it serves no nutritional value to your body, it can get you fired up and ready to take on the day. It is highly addictive and many people have tried to quit, but just can’t seem to slip away from its grabs. This research will be over how it affects your attitude and concentration day by day, but also how it can affect your job performance and work ethic.

I have a set schedule for my everyday life. I wake up at 6:30; make it to school by 7:30; I leave school at 1:40 every day; I get home at 1:50. In this time I usually rest or make some food. At 2:30 I leave for work. I'm at work for 4 and a half hours every day and I close at 7 p.m. After work, I head home and make dinner. By the time I get dinner made and take a shower, it is already close to 9 p.m. I usually check my grades, do a little bit of homework, then head to bed. I do this every day so clearly, I don't have anything really exciting to do my project over. I chose this so I can incorporate it into my everyday routine and so I can hopefully boost my job performance.
